The
Blagspeed Offshore Model Racing Team consists of father
and son partnership Phil and Cameron Snewin, and was established in
late Autumn 2007 when it was decided to collectively build and then
race a boat suitable for the 2008 OMRA race series and beyond.
This website is meant to be a bit of fun and charts Team
Blagspeed's
progress throughout the racing season.
The Race Report from Torquay II has
been added together with video footage.
Team Blagspeed's rookie season is
now complete with the last race having taken place at Torquay on
28/9/08. Overall, it has been great fun and very rewarding on many
levels. For our final Championship placing, click

May shield for best newcomer at the recent OMRA AGM. [See Photo

Next season Team Blagspeed have
joined Big Tee racing and will be driving under the Big Tee racing
Banner. We are going to be running at least 2 boats - the Makara which will be run by Cam and a
new boat in the shape of a Pacer will be run by Phil. The Miami will
be used as a test boat for new ideas and may be run when conditions
do not suit the bigger Pacer.
Over the winter, the Makara is to
undergo repairs and a complete refit and repaint whilst the other
two boats will be built up from scratch ready to race for the start
of the 2009 season. |
